Buenos Aires, April 12 (NA) – Graciela Molina de Cancio and Victoria Cancio, the women who provided direct financing to the Chief of Staff Manuel Adorni for the purchase of his apartment in the Caballito neighborhood, will testify before Federal Prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita between 9 and 11 a.m. as part of the investigation into the alleged illicit enrichment by the official. These two women are listed as Adorni's creditors, as they are said to have granted him a 'non-bank' mortgage of $100,000 ($85,000 and $15,000 respectively) for the purchase of the property on Asamblea Avenue. The transaction took place on the same day that the official's wife, Bettina Angeletti, acquired another property in the Indio Cua country club in Exaltación de la Cruz. The notary who validated the signatures on both properties, Adriana Nechevenko, denied the existence of cash loans and assured that the operations were carried out within a 'normal' framework, with no 'irregularity'. According to her testimony, the transaction was agreed upon as a purchase to be paid in installments, which would be direct financing from the sellers, and not a loan of external capital. Prosecutor Pollicita, for his part, seeks to determine if these loans were legitimate or if they were used to conceal the origin of the funds, given that the purchase price of the apartment, which is $230,000, is below market values. Last week, justice also took a statement via Zoom from soccer player Hugo Morales, who was the original owner of the apartment before selling it to the women who later transacted with Adorni.
